Hiya! How are you? I'm Timm — an official tour guide with a big love for history, Amsterdam, and making my guests feel genuinely welcome. Nothing makes me happier than sharing this city's stories, hidden corners, and quirky details with people from all over the world. Guiding isn't just my job; it's something I truly enjoy.
Tall, blonde, and a devoted cheese lover… that's me. I was born and raised in The Hague, and eight years ago I finally fulfilled my dream of moving to Amsterdam. From the moment I arrived, this city felt like home, and I can't wait to show you exactly why. I love this city so much that even my twin babies decided to arrive on Amsterdam's own birthday — its 750th anniversary on the 27th of October 2025.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in History and a Master's in Arts and Culture from Leiden University, the oldest university in the Netherlands. My academic background, combined with my passion for storytelling, shapes the way I guide: lively, engaging, and full of fun facts that bring Amsterdam to life in a way you won't find in any guidebook.
I've been guiding for over 10 years in the Netherlands and have 7 years of experience guiding across Europe. I've had the pleasure of working with private travelers from all over the world, couples, families, and corporate groups — each with their own interests, pace, and expectations. No matter who I'm with, my approach is always the same: enthusiastic, attentive, and focused on creating a memorable, personal experience. I genuinely love making my guests happy.

They pretend not to notice, but I'm pretty sure they've learned more Dutch history from my "casual strolls" than from school.
